As an environmental scientist and a lover of pristine landscapes, my family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Country, a charming hotel nestled in the heart of New Zealand's beautiful countryside. Welcomed by the accommodating staff, we were drawn to the cozy historic pub ambiance that exuded warmth and comfort. Our Rustic Room, with a skylight perfect for stargazing, provided a peaceful retreat for us after days filled with exploration. One evening, as we dined on the exceptional homemade pies at the bar, we found ourselves immersed in lively conversation with fellow guests and locals. the friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the hotel. the extensive menu offered something for everyone in the family, catering to diverse tastes and preferences. We particularly enjoyed the array of breakfast options, from hearty bread to locally made honey, setting us up for a day of outdoor activities along the nearby Otago Central Rail Trail.
